About Us

We're Water Street Deli, and we've been a premier deli in Decorah, IA since 2022. We specialize in imported products from around the world and a specially curated seasonal menu made with all fresh ingredients. Our owner Logan is always in the deli creating new & tasty sandwiches, hand carving specialty meats and cheeses, and coming up with new delicious offerings for the community. We're looking forward to partnering with Northeast Iowa, Southeast Minnesota, and Southwest Wisconsin consumers to continue to offer a gourmet deli experience. We cannot say enough good things about this deli. TOP NOTCH! The food was amazing. We ordered 3 sandwiches. Turkey Pesto Panino, Ham and Cheese Panino, and Turkey bacon club. The ingredient combinations of each were well thought out, prepared with love, and absolutely delicious. For our drink option we all got the strawberry basil lemonade. WOW! So tasty and refreshing. Highly recommend it if it's available. Dine-in is not an option. They had tables outside, so we sat there to eat our lunch, enjoy the view, and take in the small town at We found this gem on our drive from Iowa to Minnesota and will definitely will be making it our go-to stop for lunch on every trip from now on. We arrived moments before several local patrons. They all had great things to say about this establishment. The comment heard more than once was "If there is a line then don't leave because it is worth the wait!"

Consistently great sandwiches. My last visit I had the turkey bacon club and a slice of the triple cream basque brie cheesecake, just an incredible meal. Other highlights have been the crab cake, le parisien, the salumeria, and the strawberry guava lemonade. Great place to grab lunch!
