I went in wanting fresh tuna for sushi/poke bowl. Not only is the tuna high quality, the owner, Logan, knows how to ensure flavors are balanced and complement each other perfectly!
We had his special (4 cheese pizza with a foccacia bread crust), and it was hands down THE BEST Pizza I've ever had!
The crust was the perfect amount of crispness of the outer layer while still having that delicious flavor filled bread. Emphasis on crisp (NOT hard crunch). Texture was perfect.
Then the pizza sauce was clearly homemade and booming with flavor. Again, all the flavors complimented each other so perfectly, and nothing overpowered the other flavors. Generous with the sauce without causing sogginess or dripping everywhere and that becoming all you taste. It was so smooth and notably very very fresh ingredients (tasted like it was straight from the garden 🤤). I'm not a fan of "chunks" of vegetables in my sauces, so I was very pleased with this!
Then the raspberry basil lemonade was so crisp and refreshing. Not too sweet, and just enough basil to give it that light aroma that contributes to that perfect "fresh" taste!
If you haven't been there, or have not heard of it, you definitely want to take the trip over there, enjoy the sites, get yourself some amazing fresh proteins and/or sandwiches for the perfect picnic. The leaves will be turning bright and beautiful in the next couple of weeks! Perfect time to get out and enjoy this great and unique little deli!
